Rinnai hot water heater is one of the most popular water heaters out there. They make many different types, but their most famous one has to be there tankless hot water heater. Tankless hot water heaters have revolutionized hot water heating.

These are just like their name–tankless. They do not require a tank to hold the water. They heat the water instantly as it passes through the heater. This is why they are also often called instant hot water heaters. The water is instantly heated by running over a heating element on its way to the tap. No more running bath water forever to get it to heat up!

These can use either gas or electricity to heat–depending on whichever is available in your home. This is very energy efficient and will save you money on water and energy bills every month. These are also a great bang for their buck in that they will last up to twenty years. A Rinnai hot water heater is one of the longest lasting hot water heaters out there. You may also get warranties which will cover parts of the system so that if something does break, you can get it fixed with no worries.

Most people have these installed in their basements, however if you do not have a full basement, you can have it installed outside of your home.

The newer types of Rinnai hot water heater will have a digital temperature control. You probably won’t need to fiddle with this too often, but it is quite helpful if you for some reason need very hot water one day, for cleaning or something. Some systems even let you set hotter water in certain rooms. So you may want hotter water in the laundry room than in the shower.

Another innovative appliance that Rinnai has is the solar hot water heater. This is similar to the above water heater, except that it is solar powered as opposed to gas or electric. These often actually have tanks, it is not very easy to instantly heat water with solar power.

If you are in the market for a commercial tankless water heater then you will need to know a few things before you can make a reasonable decision about which one will work best for your needs.

When selecting the type you need there are several factors that come into play. The most important ones are fuel type, energy consumption, volume needed and the cost that it will incur. Each of these areas is vitally important in direct relation to the others and all share in the final makeup of your ideal system.

Commercial tankless water heaters are commonly used for everything including businesses, apartment buildings, hospitals, schools and industrial developments. Their requirements are based solely on the type of facility they will be housed in. For example, in the hotel industry alone approximately forty percent of the energy used goes to heating water alone. That is why it is important to choose carefully.

The size of the tanks in a commercial tankless water heater usually starts at around thirty gallons and can go up into the hundreds. There are so many different types and models available, but they all generally function in the same manner. The tank remains full at all times and is constantly heated using one of three methods: oil, gas or electricity. When it is needed, the heated liquid is released from the top of the tank while cold liquid enters from the bottom. This is heated and the whole process starts all over again. If there is no immediate requirement for hot water then it remains in the system until it is needed.

Using this type of system does have it’s disadvantages. Since there is no way to tell when it will be necessary to tap into the stored reservoir then it is essential that the system be working at all times. This requires a large amount of energy to keep it going. That is why it has become necessary to develop more energy efficient setups to cut down on the cost associated with them and help eliminate unnecessary energy consumption.
A commercial tankless water heater should also be chosen based on their life expectancy. Paying more upfront for a more efficient unit will pay itself back in the long run in energy savings.

If you own a retail business, or other commercial property, there may come a time when you need to purchase a commercial water heater. These are different from the water heaters in your home, because they are meant for a large building and generally have more power, especially if you plan to use them somewhere than hot water is essential, like a car wash.

Some examples of places which might use a commercial water heater are: schools, motels, multi-family homes, hospitals, car washes, industrial buildings, restaurants, apartment buildings, retail establishments, etc.

The first thing you will need to decide is whether you want an electric commercial water heater, or a gas commercial water heater. A gas one will be more efficient and generally cost less to run. However, if you do not have a gas line in your building, and do not get gas delivered, than having a gas water heater installed may just be more of a hassle than its worth. So you may want to go with an electric one for the convenience. There is now a third type available–a solar panel powered hot water heater. This may or may not work for you depending on where your business is and how much hot water you need, however, it may be something to look into.

One interesting and new product you may want to look into is the commercial tankless water heater. These are also known as instant hot water heaters. The water is heated as it passes through the heater, not in a tank. This also leaves you with a lot more space, if your space is limited or dual use.

You will also need to look at what brand of commercial hot water heater you will want to get. This may depend on the type of air conditioner you already have. Air conditioners and water heaters work more efficiently if they are of a common type. Popular brands include: Grainger, Trane, A.O. Smith, American Standard and Polaris.

If you own a restaurant, you may want to look for a commercial water heater which is certified by the Green Restaurant Association. These are high efficiency hot water heaters which have been certified as such. Using a high efficiency commercial water heater not only saves money on operating costs, but you may also be eligible for a tax credit, which only increases your savings. Check to see if your water heater has an Energy Star rating, this will let you know if it is efficient.
